As we head into our 14th year of operation , our mission remains the same: to ignite a passion for surfing in our campers through a week of serious FUN in the ocean!
We're bringing back the same stacked crew that we've had for the past 5 years, including Will Deane — a former camper who has risen into the pro ranks. Will is a WSL Pro Junior Champion and event winner, now competing on the World Surf League QS and representing Team USA internationally.
What makes us special is that our team connects personally with each camper, helping them progress each day. Our instructors, having grown up through the camp themselves, bring a unique perspective — they know firsthand what made camp unforgettable, what fears younger campers might face, and how to help them overcome those challenges.
- Minimum age 8 years
- All campers must be able to swim proficiently (if you've passed the swim test at the YMCA you are good to go!)
- Bring packed lunch each day
- Bring sunscreen & towel
- Bring rashguard or T-shirt for sun protection
- Bring change of dry clothes

Somewhere in Nags Head, NC. We aim to find the perfect sandbar for our crew to BLOW IT UP.

We drop a few albums in Dropbox or Google Drive for all campers to share at the end of each session. You can view photos from last year to get a picture of what to expect!
We reserve a "Flex Day" during the week which we may use as a make-up day. In the case that we can't use our flex day and conditions do not allow us to surf, we plan an alternative activity. We've spent bad weather days at Jockey's Ridge where we've hiked, skimmed, & sand-boarded the dune.
We maintain a 4 to 1 and often lower (camper to instructor) ratio in the water. Nags Head Surf Camp is licensed & insured.
